Savage should be just about right. Our little family here on the forum runs the gamut of height and weight, my 6'2" 230 lb self falling about in the middle. Savage is great to introduce yourself or someone else to road riding, just don't try any road racing with it, it's embarassing to lose too often. ;-)
Welcome to the wonderful world of motorcycling. Careful, it is highly addictive. A good number of the riders here have owned multiple bikes, and tend to give the Savage respectable marks.
